“People have identified themselves from their clothes”

Without peace and justice Development of India not possible, says Maulana Arshad Madani

Staff Reporter /NEW DELHI

“People who are helping labours, helpless migrants, the needy and the victims of the lockdown could be identified easily from their clothes”, says Maulana Arshad Madani, the President of Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind while praising the role of Muslims during the lockdown due to Corona crisis.

He said that in the hour of crisis, Muslims are doing what they should do. Islam has also commanded them to do so. Service to humanity is a great duty which the Muslims of this country are performing even during the days of fasting without feeling hungry and thirsty.

“Yet most of the country’s media have ignored this selfless service of the Muslims towards needy” observes Maulana adding that the pictures of service however are very much visible on social media.

Quoting a survey Maulana said that the way Muslim organizations and especially members of Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind have worked for the poor, needy, widows and distressed labours across the country is a reflection of the community concern towards society and the country.

He said that Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind has been arranging fares to sending distressed workers to their home from different states as well as distributing food items among them across the country.

He expressed anger over country’s media and some politicians who were spreading the poison of hatred in the country even during ongoing nationwide lockdown caused by corona virus. The effect of this hatred was also seen in several places of the country.

“Country cannot develop without the help of each other and without peace and justice” said the Islamic scholar.

Expressing concern over the ongoing turmoil in the country, Maulana Madani said that the people of the country would not be fooled by the sectarian and fanatical media, but they should unite against the Corona virus as an Indian, not a Hindu, Muslim Sikh or Christian, and dedicate themselves for the development of the country.

He said that in the name of Corona virus, most of the electronic media and some politicians tried their best to spread poison in the country but they did not succeed in disturbing country Ganga Jamani Tahzeeb.

Maulana Madani, in particular, made a special appeal to all the members of Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind, saying that they should not donate to Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind during the holy month of Ramadan, but they should donate to the troubled people irrespective of religion and nationality and Islamic madrassas especially small madrassas.
