The Gaya Muslim Orphanage (GMO) Managing Committee on Wednesday, held a Condolence Meeting to pay homage to its Patron, Dr. Abdul Majeed Khan who died on July 9, 2018 following brain hemorrhage and a paralytic stroke. He was 90. He was also the youngest son of Founder Enayeth Khan.
Dr. Farasat Hussain, President of GMO Managing Committee, presided over the meeting, which was attended by the members and functionaries of the orphanage. The members paid rich tributes to the deceased Patron Dr. Abdul Majeed Khan and eugolized his selfless service rendered for the welfare of The Gaya Muslim Orphanage throughout his life. A copy of the resolution passed at the Condolence Meeting was presented by a GMO functionary to the deceased eldest son Danish Ahmad Khan, who is also Founder-Editor of India’s Online Muslim Newspaper IndianMuslimObserver.com today.
Dr. A. M. Khan was a strong pillar of the institution and played a crucial role in expanding and developing the orphanage in every way possible. He was passionate about the orphanage and stressed on the cleanliness of the campus and improving the quality of education. He used to often make surprise visits to the orphanage and enquired about the well-being of the orphan inmates. During some of his afternoon visits he used to sit with the inmates and take lunch with them to check the quality of food served. He however always made it point to pay for his own lunch. The credit of the buildings considered in the vast GMO campus and seeking of financial aid of INR 1.5 crore for the ITI building (Enayeth Technical Institute) from Islamic Development Bank, Jeddah) goes to him. Moreover, Dr. A. M. Khan through his extensive efforts succeeded in getting FCRA account through Government of India for seeking donations from foreign donors.
Dr. Abdul Majeed Khan was a renowned physician in Gaya district and played an important role in the construction of Indian Medical Association (IMA) hall in Gaya town. Being a prominent social activist, Dr. A. M. Khan was constantly in touch with Indian Red Cross, Lions Club and Rotract Club and organized Eye Cataract camps in rural areas of the town through these organizations. He always cared for the poor and used to provide them medical treatment free of cost.
Dr. A. M. Khan was an eminent community activist and played a significant role, particularly in the education of and healthcare
arenas. Apart from being Patron of The Gaya Muslim Orphanage, Dr. Khan was also a Member of Quasmi Middle School Managing Committee. He also played an active role in the establishing of the only Muslim minority college in Gaya “Mirza Ghalib College” and Millat Hospital.
A pious, respected and highly secular person, Dr. Abdul Majeed Khan’s death has been mourned by people of Gaya, including both Hindus and Muslims. His Hindu friends Dr. Uma Nath Bhadani, Ramji Prasad Agarwal Advocate and Dr. Ashok Kumar Tewari in their personal messages said that they had lost their best friend and would hugely miss him, particularly on Eid festivals when they used to visit him every year. The news of Dr. A. M. Khan’s illness and death have been covered in the local media.
It may be noted that The Gaya Muslim Orphanage was established by its founder Enayeth Khan in October 1917. He invested a modest sum of Rs. 30 from his own pocket to establish the institution. From a 50 anna rented hut with two orphans and one teacher, The Gaya Muslim Orphanage has now grown into a 100 year old institution.
Housed in a sprawling campus, the institution has an imposing mosque, beautiful buildings, lawns, GMO Middle School, GMO High School, AMU Aligarh Centre for Distance Education offering courses in I. A., B.A., M.A., and B. Lib. Sc. The newly established Enayeth Private Industrial Training School has been granted affiliation by NCVT, Government of India, and is to soon start a Diploma course in Domestic and Industrial Electrification. The admission to AMU Aligarh Centre for Distance Education and Enayeth Private Industrial Training Institute is open for both Hindus and Muslims.
Cherki yateem kahana me ghair zimmedar logon ko panah
Yahan ki masjid me na Safai ka khayal na hi waqt pe azaan .na hi waqt pe namaz Imaan to fajir me Kam hi aate hain main gate bhi subah fajir me waqt pe nahi khulta hai kabhi kabhi to log namaz padhe hi wapis aajate hain masjid ka account bhi kuch pata nahi chalta koi marammat ka kaam bhi nahi hota IS ME BAHAR KE LOGON KO MEMBER BANANA CHAHYE KIYON KI YE AWAM KI CHIZ HAI LEKIN KUCH LOG IS KO ZAATI BANAYE HUE HAI
Yeh bhai Cherki ke rahney waley hain. Inka naam Imran Mansuri hai lekin ab apna naam Imran Suri rakh liya hai. Inhoney comment AWAM ke naam per kiya hai, apna naam bataney se dartey hain aur apney aap ko Namazi kahtey hain lekin jhoot bolney aur fareb karney mein expert hain.
Inhoney merey Facebook per bhi comment yehi comment kiya hai aur mainey maaqool jawab bhi diya jiskey baad yeh ghayab ho gaye aur dobara jawab nahi de paye.
Yeh janab ka kahna hai ki Yateemkhana ke complex mein jo idara ki zaati Masjid hai uskey dekhrekh ki baagdor inkey haathon mein saunp diya jaye aur yeh Yateemkhana ke naam per chanda karen, Masjid ki whitewash karen aur bacha hua paisa Yateemkhana ke account mein na daalkar khud ki pocket mein rakhen. Kya yeh mumkin hai. Aisa kaam woh log kartey hain jinki zehniyat chori ki hoti hai.
Inhoney aaj tak Yateemkhana ke liye ek paisa bhi chanda nahi kiya ya uski falah ke kuch kiya ho lekin khwab Member banney ka dekh rahey hain jo ki na mumkin hai. Yeh gumrahkun baat kar rahey hain aur jhoot bol rahey hain. Koi bhi Yateemkhana mein jab chahey aa sakta hai aur dekh sakta hai lekin Yateemkhana apney banaye huey qanoon se chalega na ki Imran Mansuri jaisey sadak chaap logon ki marzi se.
