Real-life couple Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone will be playing the role of former Indian cricket team captain Kapil Dev and his wife Romi Bhatia in the sports drama ’83 directed by Kabir Khan.
The look of all the actors in the movie was unveiled last month. Now, the makers have finally revealed Deepika’s get-up in the movie. The picture was shared by the Chhapaak actress on her Instagram account. Deepika and Ranveer have an uncanny resemblance with the former Indian Team caption and his entrepreneur wife.
“To be able to play a small part in a film that captures one of the most iconic moments in sporting history has been an absolute honour,” she captioned the pic. Now, the fan pages have shared some behind the scenes pictures, where the Om Shanti Om actress can be seen wearing a wig and getting ready for the shoot.
Talking about her role in the movie, Deepika said in her post, “I’ve seen very closely the role a wife plays in the success of her husband’s professional and personal aspirations in my mother and 83 for me in many ways is an ode to every woman who puts her husband’s dream before her own.”
Tabu in Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2
With the shooting beginning in Jaipur, it has been reported that Tabu will be recreating Vidya Balan’s performance in Mere Dholna Sun… Ami Je Tomar song from the original movie.
Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 will be recreating two of the songs from the original soundtrack –Hare Ram Hare Ram and Mere Dholna Sun… Ami Je Tomar. Bhool Bhulaiyaa found the Indian audience in wide adoration for its comic timing, horror elements, brilliant performances and striking music score. Now, the 2007 hit is going to find a sequel with Kartik Aaryan, Tabu and Kiara Advani in lead roles. In a report by Mumbai Mirror, a source revealed that Tabu was “really excited” to perform on the iconic number. The source also added that the music of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 will be also “chartbuster” like the first one.
The Bhushan Kumar and Murad Khetani production started shooting in Jaipur after which the team will move to a palace in Lucknow for shooting the main crux of the story. In the 2007 film, Shiney Ahuja and Vidya Balan played a newly-married couple who come to an ancestral palace which is haunted by the spirit of a court dancer Manjulika, who performed in the court of Raja Vibhuti Narayan.
Ajay Devgn is proud of Kajol
Actor Ajay Devgn has shared his happiness for wife Kajol on doing her next project, an upcoming short film ‘Devi’ which he says to be ‘a sensitive film that’s headed in the right direction.’ Earlier the day, Kajol had shared a poster of the film on Twitter that featured all the leading ladies of the film including herself, Neha Dhupia, Shruti Haasan, and others. Within minutes of sharing the poster, Ajay took it to Twitter and wrote: “Women empowerment is not a statement for me. It’s a way of life. So proud that Kajol is doing Devi, a sensitive film that’s headed in the right direction.”
The powerful short film narrates the story of nine oppressed women coming from different walks of life. The short film which is both directed and written by Priyanka Banerjee and is produced by Ryan Stephen and Niranjan Iyengar.
Kajol was last seen opposite Ajay Devgn in their much-acclaimed period-drama Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior. Ajay Devgn’s magnum opus had grossed over Rs 200 crore and also garnered appreciation from critics across the country.
