World champions Germany will take on Italy in the third quarter final of Euro Football Championship tonight, at 12:30 AM Indian Time.
In the Round-of-16, while Italy had defeated defending champions Spain 2-0, Germany beat Slovakia 3-0. Both teams have met 8 times at major tournaments and Italy have never lost, winning 4.
In the second quarter finals las night Wales stunned world number two team Belgium 3-1 to enter the semi-finals of a major tournament for the first time.
The fourth quarter-final will be played tomorrow between hosts France and debutant Iceland.
In the semis, Wales will meet Portugal which had got the better of Poland in the first quarter-final.
The semi-final stage will begin on Wednesday, with the Final is slated for the 10th of this month.
