Under “Roopantar Scheme”, the school buildings which need repair, will soon be repaired and upgraded at the desired level and set standards.
The Minister of Education, Social Welfare, Women & Child Development Prof. Kiran Walia informed this after convening meeting of senior officers of Education Department, DSIIDC and PWD in her office at Delhi Secretariat. The meeting was convened by the minister on the request of Parliamentary Secretary to Chief Minister and Bawana MLA Surinder Kumar and Gokulpuri MLA Surender Kumar.
Prof. Walia was given to understand that the school buildings in villages Prahladpur, Auchandi, Daryapur, Shahbad, Gokulpuri are found in dilapidated condition and need to be immediately repaired. She instructed the officers concerned to complete the work of upgradation and repair of these school buildings within two months time.
If the desired work is completed in time upto the standards, disciplinary action will be taken against the erring officials and penalty will be imposed upon the contractors who will undertaken the work.
Prof. Walia clarified that no excuse will be acceptable from any corner in this regard. She said that under Govt.’s “Roopantar Scheme”, Govt. school buildings will be repaired and upgraded upto the desired standards and the irresponsible and delinquent officials and contractors will be taken to task, if they do not fulfill their duty.
