The Delhi Government will launch Awareness Campaign to create Awareness among the people belonging to minorities in Delhi in order to provide benefits of various schemes, policies and programmes initiated by the Government for the welfare of the minorities.
The Delhi Deputy Chief Minister, Manish Sisodia announced this, while releasing the Annual Report of Delhi Minorities Commission for year 2015-16 here. The Delhi Minorities Commission Chairman, Qamar Ahmad handed over and presented the report to Sisodia in the presence of its’ member, Mr. Abrahim Patiani and the Secretary Dr. Jayadev Sarangi.
Sisodia said that Delhi Government will study the recommendations made by Delhi Minorities Commission in this report and will also consider the suggestions therein for improving and ameliorating the social, educational and economic conditions of the people belonging to minority communities in Delhi.
The Deputy Chief Minister said that the government will ensure that no discrimination is meted out to the people belonging to the minority Community with regard to distribution of govt. resources, delivery of Services and in providing justice to them.
