UP: 7 killed in road accident on Lucknow-Agra expressway


Death toll in Kannauj road accident has risen to seven. One more student injured in the accident succumbed to his injuries.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has announced exgratia of two lakh rupees to the family of each deceased and fifty thousand rupees to the injured. Expressing grief and sorrow over the accident he also directed to provide medical help free of cost to the injured.

Seven persons including six students and one teacher crushed to death last night on Lucknow Agra expressway in Kannauj district.

Three students were injured in the accident and are admitted at Kannauj Medical college in serious condition. A group of students and teachers was on study tour to Haridwar by bus.

A U P state road Transport Corporation bus crushed them as students were waiting on the road side as their vehicle in which they were traveling was stationed on the road to remove some problem. About 500 students from Sant Kabir Nagar district were traveling in about 12 buses.
