Trivendra Singh Rawat has been elected leader of BJP legislative party in Uttrakhand. He will take oath tomorrow. He will take oath at 3 pm Saturday.
RSS Parchrak and BJP leader Trivedendra Singh Rawat has been elected leader of BJP Legislature Party. The BJP has made this announcement six days after the results of the assembly elections was declared.
Satpal Maharaj and Prakash Pant was also in the race of Uttarakhand Chief Minister Rawat will take oath of office on March 18. Rawat, 56, is MLA from the Dhowwala assembly constituency in Uttrakhand. Rawat is considered close to BJP national president Amit Shah and has worked with him in the 2014 Lok Sabha elections in Uttar Pradesh.
Rawat is in charge of Jharkhand BJP. He was associated with the Sangh from 1983 to 2002, during which Rawat had the big responsibility of organising sangh workers.
In 2002, he won the first Dhoiwala seat. After this, he remained the MLA from here for three consecutive terms. Between2007-2012 he was also an agriculture minister of state.
According to reports, former agriculture minister Rawat’s name also came in ‘Bijay Scam’. However, Rawat had claimed that he was not found guilty in the investigation conducted by the Congress government.
According to Rawat’s affidavit, he has achieved master’s degree in history. Apart from this, he also has a diploma in journalism from Hemvati Nandan Bahuguna Garwal University.
