After President Pranab Mukherjee warning yesterday that India can not survive without diversity, tolerance and plurality, Prime Minister Narendra Modi today followed his advise and pitched for communal harmony and brotherhood in the country.
He opened his mouth after 10 days of inhuman Dadri incident.
Addressing an election rally at Nawada in Bihar, he said Hindus and Muslims should work together to fight the common enemy of poverty.
Without referring to Dadri lynching incident in Uttar Pradesh, Mr Modi asked people to ignore controversial statements made by politicians, saying they are doing so for political gains.
He invoked President Pranab Mukherjee, saying the countrymen should follow his message given on Wednesday on preserving the core civilisational values of diversity, tolerance and plurality.
On Wednesday, at a function in New Delhi, the President had underlined that diversity, tolerance and plurality are core values that have kept India together and must never wither away.
Attacking at Grandalliance in Samastipur in third rally the Prime Minister said Congress, RJD and JD(U) are propagating caste and communal politics.
Mr. Modi said if grand alliance will come in power jungle raj 2 will return. While seeking votes in favour of NDA candidate in Nawada Mr. Modi said Bihar can’t tolerate their rule.
The Prime Minister will stay at Rajbhawan, Patna.
