The Delhi High Court on Monday directed that LG-appointee ACB Chief, M K Meena will remain ACB head and function in accordance with law. The court refused to entertain Delhi govt’s plea to restrain M K Meena from entering ACB office.
The Court also refused to implead Meena as party in Delhi govt’s plea challenging constitutional validity of Centre’s May 21 notification giving Najeeb Jung absolute powers to appoint bureaucrats. it also issued a notice to Centre.
Mr Meena was appointed as ACB chief by Lt Governor Najeeb Jung. Delhi Government, on 27th of this month, urged the Delhi High Court to issue directions to restrain Anti Corruption branch chief M K Meena from entering his office.
