Road accidents claim 25 lives in Himachal, Tamil Nadu



As many as 14 people were killed and 11 injured in two separate road accidents in Shimla and Sirmaur districts in Himachal Pradesh,today.

Eight people were killed and 11 others injured when a bus skidded off the road and rolled down the hill at Pulhwhal in Sirmaur district.

In another accident, all six occupants of a car were killed on the spot when it fell into a 300-foot deep gorge near Chhaila on the Theog-Hatkoti road, 42 km from Shimla.

In Tamil Nadu, 11 persons were killed and 13 others injured, some of them seriously, in two separate road accidents in Virudhunagar and Thanjavur districts today.

Six pilgrims, including four women, died while ten others were injured when their van overturned at Ramachandrapuram in Virudhunagar district this evening.

In another accident, five people, including four members of a family, were killed and three others seriously injured when their car rammed into the rear side of a stationary lorry at Thanjavur.
