Rajnath visits forward areas of Himalayan borders

AMN

Home Minister Rajnath Singh today visited the forward areas of the Himalayan borders and met the ITBP Jawans deployed at the Border Out Post (BOP).

Mr. Singh reached the ITBP Border Out Post Nelong, which is located at 11,636 feet in Uttarkashi and met the Jawans deployed at the icy heights in the valley.

The Home Minister also addressed a Sainik Sabha and lauded the ITBP personnel for their dedicated service in tough high altitude sub zero conditions.

He said his ministry is aware of the services rendered by the ITBP personnel in difficult circumstances and trying to extend all possible support to them.

Yesterday, the Home Minister had met the families of Jawans residing in family quarters of the Unit premises and greeted them on the eve of the New Year. He also joined the ‘Bara Khana’ with the jawans last evening.

Earlier, in September-October last year, Mr. Singh had visited Mana, Lapthal and Rimkhim BOPs besides various other formations of ITBP and celebrated Dusehera with ITBP Jawans.
