Prez Kovind urges IIT graduates to play significant role in improving quality life of citizens

President Ram Nath Kovind today called upon the IIT graduates to play significant role in improving quality life of citizens of the country and multiply the force in the implementation of programs initiated by the government in this regard.

Delivering 51 convocation address today at IIT Kanpur Mr Kovind said that Technology can play a major role in multiplying the force in the implementation of welfare programs of the government including Digital India, Swachha Bharat Abhiyan, Make in India and Start up India.

Mr Kovind asked them to follow four Mantras including get inspired to achieve big things, think big and not to be afraid of failure and to have a disciplined life.

He urged the technocrats to use their learning and achievements for the welfare of the country and humanity.

Underlining the background of Industries at Kanpur and known as Menchester of the East ,Mr Kovind said that attempts should be made to upgrade and reimagine Kanpur as an Industrial and commercial hub.

He said all stake holders including Government, citizens, industry and academia have to work together to achieve this goal.

Mr Kovind was accompanied with UP Governor Ram Naik and Industrial Development Minister Satish Mahana.
