Hand written resignation letter of Justice Sen was handed over to the President’s Secretariat on Saturday by his advocate.
Impeachment motion against Justice Soumitra Sen is scheduled to be taken up by the Lok Sabha on Monday.
In view of the acceptance of the resignation of Justice Sen, Lok Sabha Speaker Mrs. Meira Kumar is likely to consult political parties before any decision on impeachment process in the House is taken up.
