Prime Minister Narendra Modi has termed his visit to Mongolia as historic and path breaking. In a tweet before departure from Ulaan Baatar today, he said that his visit will take India’s ties with Mongolia to spectacular heights. Expressing gratitude towards Mongolian people, Mr. Modi said that he is carrying back wonderful memories of Mongolia, a land that is India’s spiritual neighbour.
The Mongolian media has termed the first ever visit of Indian Prime Minister to their country as successful. Prominent Mongolian newspapers have published reports about different aspects of Indian prime minister’s visit.
The announcement of one billion US dollors credit to Mongolia by Indian prime minister and the joint statement on strategic partnership has been widely covered. Meetings of Mr. Modi with Mongolian president and his address to the Mongolian parliament has also given prominence. A gift of rare history manuscript from Mr. Modi to Mongolian president has also got space in the media. There is no doubt that Mr. Narendra Modi’s Mongolia visit has added a new chapter in the bilateral relations between the two countries.
