A delegation from government of Pakistan is leaving for India to attend last rites of former Indian prime minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee who died on Thursday.
Quoting unnamed sources, Geo News on Friday reported that the delegation consists of Director General South Asia at Foreign Office Dr Faisal, Information Minister Dr Ali Zafar and a senior official of the Law and Justice Ministry.
The sources said that the delegation would return later in the day after attending the funeral.

Pakistan government and top leaders have paid respects to Atal Bihari Vajpayee and said the former Indian prime minister contributed to bringing “a change” in bilateral ties and remained a key supporter of regional cooperation for development.
The government’s spokesperson said that The government and people of Pakistan extend their “heartfelt condolences” to Vajpayee’s family and to the government and people of India.
Prime Minister-in-waiting Imran Khan also expressed condolences over Vajpayee’s demise, saying his efforts for India-Pakistan peace will always be remembered.
Foreign Office spokesman Mohammad Faisal said that Mr Vajpayee was a renowned statesman who contributed to bringing a change in India-Pakistan relations and remained a key supporter of SAARC and regional cooperation for development.
Earlier PPP chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari had expressed his sincere condolences on the death of former Prime Minister of India Atal Behari Vajpayee.
“Prime Minister Vajpayee’s efforts towards establishing an atmosphere of trust between India and Pakistan will be his lasting legacy,”Bilawal said, hoping that India’s current leadership exhibits similar intentions and commitment towards sustainable peace in South Asia.
