District Police Chief GS Toor informed  that police personnel have been deployed near all the important installations and vantage points. The police station in Dina Nagar, which was the target of Pakistan based three terrorists, has also started working.

Punjab Police Inspector General of Border Range, Ishwar Chander in a new revelation has said that the three terrorists who were eliminated by police were having such a powerful loaded rocket launcher which if used could have destroyed the police station and much of the surrounding area. The IG also divulged that the terrorists were wearing Pakistan made firing gloves. Their GPS details show that they had entered Gurdaspur from across the border after crossing river Ravi between July 21st to 27th.
