Mother Dairy’s full cream milk (poly pack) will now cost 37 rupees a litre against 35 rupees a litre.
A release of the Mother Dairy said that one litre of toned (poly pack) would cost 29 rupees against 27 rupees a litre.
Prices of Toned Bulk milk vended (token milk), double toned (poly pack) and skimmed variety have been hiked by 1 rupee a litre.
Mother Dairy, which sells 30 lakh litres of milk per day in Delhi, attributed the hike in milk prices to rise in procurement cost.
The hike in prices by the Mother Dairy follows a similar raise by rival Amul brand, which had increased prices by up to two rupees a litre in the first week of August.
