Aam Aadmi Party today alleged that Municipal Corporations of Delhi are the most corrupt organisations in the world. Addressing a press conference in New Delhi on the salary issue of Safai Karamcharis, party spokesperson Dilip Pandey said, there are 22 thousand ghost employees whose identity could not be confirmed but they are getting salaries without working in the corporations.
He demanded inquiry into the matter. Mr Pandey said, Rs 1800 crore loan was given to MCD during Sheila Dikshit’s government and now the MCD is demanding more money even without repaying the previous loan.
Another spokesperson Sanjay Singh said, Centre is playing politics with the Delhi government on the issue of sanitation. He urged the Central government not to punish people of Delhi for voting in favour of AAP. Mr Singh said the city government is committed for clean Delhi and will do everything in this regard.
Replying to a query whether the party is contemplating action against Jitender Singh Tomar in the alleged fake degree case, Sanjay Singh said the issue is being investigated by the internal Lokpal of the party. He also demanded registration of FIRs against Union Ministers Smriti Irani and Ram Shankar Katheria in connection with alleged fake degree cases.
