The padyatra was organised by Municipal Councillor Uma Sharma. The Padyatra started from Yamuna Bazar Ghat No. 1 passed through Kashmere Gate, Hamilton Road, Chhota Bazar, Madrasi Basti, Mori Gate,  before concluding St. Javier School. Shri Agarwal was accorded warm welcomed by the office-bearers of Yamuna Ghat Panda Association and people of Balmiki and Muslim community.

Mr Agarwal said the cleaning of drains before the monsoon has got stuck in the file with no actual work being done. There has been huge corruption in the cleaning of drains. He said the broken state of the Delhi roads, with deep potholes, and lack of sanitation in the Capital has completely exposed the inefficiency of the BJP-ruled MCD. He said people were living in a hell under the BJP rule of the MCD in the Capital, and they were waiting for a chance to get rid of the BJP rule.

The DPCC chief said the people of Delhi have run out of patience and they are determined to throw out the corrupt BJP by inflicting a heavy defeat in the coming MCD elections.
