Agencies / Jammu

Jammu and Kashmir Governor Satya Pal Malik today urged the misguided youth to shun the path of violence, assuring that his administration is ready to do whatever it can do for their rehabilitation.

Malik told reporters on the sidelines of a function in Jammu that government wants the misguided youth to come back into the mainstream adding his administration is ready to do whatever is required in this direction.

Responding to a question the governor said that the misguided youth should leave the path of violence adding they would achieve nothing from this.

On holding assembly polls in the state, the governor said his administration is ready for the democratic exercise. Meanwhile, Malik inaugurated a musical fountain and an open-air gymnasium constructed by the Jammu and Kashmir Bank at Rajinder Singh Park in Jammu.

He suggested the bank to concentrate on providing easy loans to artisans and workers and said it has the ability to uplift the weaker sections of society.
