J&K: 2 policemen killed, 5 jawans injured in separate terror attacks



Two policemen were killed and five CRPF personnel and a cop wounded in two separate terror attacks in Pulwama and Anantnag districts of Jammu and Kashmir in the wee hours today.

Security sources told media that in Pulwama, terrorists attacked a police picket guarding the District Court Complex in Wangum area. This led to a gunfight in which two police personnel lost their lives and one was injured.

In Anantnag, terrorists attacked a CRPF party at Janglat Mandi area injuring at least five personnel. The injured personnel have been shifted to a Srinagar hospital.

Security officials said, cordon and search operations were launched in both the areas following the attacks.
