JD (U) removes Sharad Yadav as party leader in Rajya Sabha




The Janata Dal (United) today removed Sharad Yadav as party leader in Rajya Sabha. Party President Nitish Kumar has made RCP Singh as new leader of the party in the Upper House.

The party has written a letter to the chairman of the Rajya Sabha in this regard.

Earlier, JD (U) suspended its Rajya Sabha member Ali Anwar Ansari from the Parliamentary Party for attending a meeting of opposition parties convened by Congress chief Sonia Gandhi yesterday.

Party spokesperson KC Tyagi said that he has been suspended from the Parliamentary Party for his anti-party activities.
