Indian American kids continued to maintain their complete dominance in the annual Scripps National Spelling Bee contest. Vanya Shivashankar and Gokul Venkatachalam have been declared co-champions of this year competition held in Washington today.This is the second consecutive year when Indian Americans excelled at the event . Last year Sriram Hathwar and Ansun Sujoe were the joint winners .This is the eighth successive year Indian Americans won the prestigious competition and 13th in the last 16 years. This year, 25 of the 49 finalists were Indian Americans .
