French Open: Y.Chan, I.Dodig win mixed double title today


In French Open Tennis, the pair of Y Chan and I Dodig won the mixed double title today. In other matches, defending champion Rafael Nadal and Juan Martin del Potro reached the semi-finals of men’s singles. Also to reach semi-final today was Simona Halep in women’s singles.

Nadal entered the semi-final, beating Argentine Diego Schwartzman 4-6, 6-3,6-2,6-2 in rain marred quarter-final.

Juan Martin del Potro entered the men’s singles semi-final , beating Marin Cilic 7-6, 5-7, 6-3, 7-5 in rain delayed duel.

Top seed Simona Halep reached the women singles semi-final, beating number 3 Garbine Muguruza 6-1, 6-4.

The other women’s singles semi-final slated for today is the first at the French Open featuring two Americans in 16 years, number 10 Sloane Stephens and number 13 Madison Keys.
