Devotees celebrate Nagpanchami

 

NEW DELHI ( From our monitoring desk)  The festival of Nagpanchami is being celebrated in different part of the country today. A large number of people are taking dip in Ganga and other holy rivers and offering prayers to lord Shiva. A large number of devotees took holy dip at Sangam in Allahabad this morning and offered prayers at snake temple Nagvasuki.

Thousands of people have taken holy dip at different Ghats of Ganga in Varanasi. Devotees also visited various temples including Kashivishwanath to offer prayers. In Ayodhya people gathered at the bank of Saryu River for taking holy bath and special Nagpanchmi worships.
A  series of traditional fairs of the Shravan month has begun in Gujarat today on the occasion of Nagpanchami. Large numbers of people from all walks of life assembled at the Bhujiya Fort to participate in ancient traditional fair.
