Speaker Ram Niwas Goel has constituted all the Eighteen House Committees and Three Financial Committees (Public Account Committee, Estimate Committee and Committee on Public Undertakings) & has Nominated Members in these Committees today on 31st March 2015. Simultaneously the Hon’ble Speaker has nominated the Chairpersons to Eighteen House Committees:-
Business Advisory Committee, Rules Committee, Committee on Privileges, Somnath Bharti, Committee on Welfare of SC/ST, Hazari Lal Chauhan, Committee on Welfare of OBC, . Sahi Ram, Private Members Bills & Resolutions Committee, Library Committee, Questions & Reference Committee, Bandana Kumari, Committee on Government Assurances, Jagdish Pradhan, Committee on Petition, Bandana Kumari, Committee on Delegated legislation, Mahinder Yadav, Committee on Papers Laid on the Table, Col, Devinder Sehrawat, Committee on Woman and Child Welfare, Ms. Rakhi Birla, Committee on Environment, Ms. Parmila Tokas, Committee on Salary & Other Allowances of Members of Delhi Legislative Assembly, Vishesh Ravi, Committee on Ethics, Narayan Dutt Sharma and Committee on Welfare of Minorities, Imran Hussain
Speaker stated that the House Committees are extremely important in the Legislatures. The Hon’ble Members can gather information about the various schemes being implemented by various departments through the meetings of the committees. The Social Welfare Deptt., Food & Supplies Deptt., Trade & Taxes Deptt., Health Deptt. etc are departments which are directly connected with public and also run various schemes. Through these meeting the Hon’ble Members can discuss & resolve important issues.
