Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and his deputy Manish Sisodia today held a meeting with Home Minister Rajnath Singh. The meeting at Home Ministry comes in the backdrop of the row over appointment of Secretary in Home department of city government.
Earlier, the Centre had declared illegal the removal of Home Secretary Dharam Pal and his reversion to the Home Ministry. Mr Kejriwal had shot off a letter to Home Ministry saying he was within his right to surrender Dharam Pal back to the Ministry. He had emphasised in the letter that he is going by the rules and has not appointed anyone to replace Pal. He said he has only given additional charge to senior officer Rajender Kumar till a new home secretary is picked.
