Delhi government has decided to give jobs to acid attack survivors and a committee will be formed to look into the issues of acid attack victims. According to a senior official, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal earlier received a representation from survivors of acid attacks who appealed for government jobs. Following the plea, Delhi government proposed that suitable government jobs be provided to these survivors. Chief Minister has approved this proposal in principle and services department has been asked to invite applications from acid attack victims and consider these on a priority basis for any suitable vacancies.
According to official figures, there are 35 acid attack survivors in the national capital.
