Cyclone TITLI gradually weakens, moves towards North East direction

The cyclonic storm TITILI is gradually weakening and moving towards the North East direction. Due to its effect, heavy rain with lightning lashed the coastal Odisha. Capital Bhubaneswar experienced heavy rain with Thunder shower last night.
The relief and rescue operations in Gajapati, Ganjam and Rayagada district is underway in spite of heavy rain.

On the other hand, due to cancellation of train services, thousands of passengers have been detained at Visikhapatanam Puri and Balasore Railway Stations.

 

PM Modi assures all possible help to cyclone affected States

Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke to Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu and Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik regarding the situation arises due to cyclone related conditions in parts of both states. Mr Modi yesterday assured all possible help from the Centre. He also prayed for the safety and well-being of those affected by the cyclone.
