Congress to participate in the J&K Panchayat, Municipal elections

In Jammu & Kashmir, the state Congress announced its participation in the upcoming Panchayat and Municipal elections in the state. The Party said the decision was taken after deliberations with party high command in Delhi.
Addressing media persons in here Wednesday, the Pradesh Congress Chief G. A. Mir urged the Governor’s administration to provide security to contesting candidates as peaceful atmosphere is needed for the smooth conduct of polls.
