Cong reacts sharply to Venkaiah’s ‘dynasty is nasty’ remark

The Congress today reacted sharply to Vice President Venkaiah Naidu’s comment that ‘’dynasty in a democracy is nasty’’, saying he might be reflecting on the situation prevailing in the BJP itself because of the hold of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and party president Amit Shah.

“Kahin pe negahen, Kahin pe Nishana,’’(Your words hide the real object of your target), senior Congress leader Manish Tewari said in response to Mr Naidu’s remarks.

The Vice President’s statement came days after Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi, while addressing students at the California university in Berkeley, had said that dynasties were common in India whether it was business or politics, but what was important was a person’s merit.
