US Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley has said there are concrete evidences to prove that Iran is violating UN Security Council resolutions on weapons proliferation.
At a press conference in Washington yesterday, she accused Iran of supplying Yemen’s rebel Houthi movement with missiles to attack Saudi Arabia. Haley claimed the fight against Iranian aggression is the world’s fight and the US is acting in the spirit of transparency and international cooperation that is necessary to defeat this threat.
Showing the remnants of a ballistic missile that had came close to hitting Riyadh’s airport last month, Haley said the absence of stabiliser fins and a series of valves on the side, marked the missile as Iranian made.
However, Iran denies arming the Houthi movement and said the claims were irresponsible, provocative and destructive.
