In the Gold Coast Commonwealth Games, India lifts first Gold on Day two in Women’s Weightlifting. Khumukcham Sanjita Chanu won Gold in the 53 kg Women category. She lifted a total of 192 Kgs. With this India has won 2 Gold and a silver.
India opened with a Gold on Day-2 in 53 kg category of Weightlifting.Rout Saraswati in 58 kg and Saraswati in 58 kg in Women category will show their performances. Dipak Lather will be in the rings in the Men’s 69 category. India will take on Malaysia in the Women’s Hockey in Pool A.
In badminton mix team Group A, India will clash with Scotland. The shuttlers started their campaign defeating Sri Lanka and Pakistan 5-0 respectively in the mixed team event. Indian Gymnast, Praneeti Das, Praneeti Nayak and Aruna Reddy will fight for the medal in Gymnastics. Indian cyclists will also display their individual pursuit.
Mirabai Chanu won the first Gold for India yesterday and broke the Commonwealth record in 48 kg category. Chanu managed to lift 196kg in a remarkable effort.
