Book on Indian film journalism presented to Vice-President

A book based on the contributions of journalism to Indian cinema was presented to Vice-President M. Venkaiah Naidu. Mr. Chaudhary Zia Imam, the author of the book, and its publisher, Mr. Vinod Viplav, presented the book to the Hon‘ble Vice-President at his residence last weekend.

The Vice-President congratulated the author and the publisher and offered them his good wishes for such an endeavour.

The author of the book Mr. Chaudhary Zia Imam had written the biographies of Mohammad Rafi and legendary musician Naushad.

Published by Sachi Prakashan, the book, “Bharatiya Cinema mein Patrakarita ka Shringar”, gives an extensive description of the journey of journalism in the Indian film world, its ups and downs and its history besides details about film magazines, film critics and film journalists. Prior to it, Sachi Prakashan had published biographies and life histories of legendary singer Mohammad Rafi, renowned film actress Madhubala and several other important personalities.
