Army chief felicitates retired officer for nationwide cycling

The 58-year-old retired army officer cycled 11,000 kilometres in 725 hours, dedicating two minutes of cycling to each martyr.

Major General Jha concluded his journey yesterday by laying a wreath at the Amar Jawan Jyoti in New Delhi and vowed to undertake similar endeavour once the national war memorial is dedicated to the nation.

General Rawat felicitated Jha at the annual army commanders conference in New Delhi.
