Ankita Raina bows out of French Open qualifiers

In Tennis, India’s Ankita Raina has bowed out of the French Open qualifiers in Paris. She lost in the Women’s Singles first round against Russia’s Evgeniya Rodina, 3-6, 6-7.

Earlier, Sumit Nagal had lost to the 10th seeded Slovak Martin Klizan 6-4, 4-6, 1-6 in the Men’s Singles opening round.

Yuki Bhambri, who broke into the top-100 of ATP rankings, has earned a direct entry into the main draw.
The French Open, which is the second Grand Slam of the season, known as Roland Garros, begins on Sunday.
