AMU Student selected for Commonwealth Split-Site Scholarship



Mohammad Danish Khan research scholar working under the supervision of Dr Mohammad Zain Khan, Assistant Professor, Department of Chemistry Aligarh Muslim University (AMU), has been selected for Commonwealth Split-Site Scholarship.

Mr. Danish will now work at the School of Chemical Engineering and Advanced Materials, Newcastle University (NU), which is also a member of the Russell Group, an association of prestigious research-intensive and also has largest EU research portfolios in the UK.

Mr. Danish is working on bioelectrochemical systems (Microbial Fuel Cell) for the production of bioenergy from organic compounds using microorganisms. He will now synthesize new engineered strains and new electrode materials in order to improve the efficiency of the cell to commercialize the technology.

Presently, he is working on the project that has been developing as one of the popular treatment technology to deliver clean water and green energy.
