All England Championship begins at Birmingham

In Badminton, the prestigious All England Championship began at Birmingham today.

Former finalist and ace Indian shuttler, Saina Nehwal crashed out of the tournament in the first round itself after suffering 14-21, 18-21 defeat against world number one Tai Tzu-Ying of Chinese Taipei.

India’s formidable duo of P.V. Sindhu and Kidambi Srikanth are expected to have easy first round outings.

The quarter-finals will be played on Friday while the semi-finals on Saturday. The final will be played on Sunday.
