2 Assam Rifles jawans killed, Six injured in Manipur blast

Two Assam Rifles jawans were killed and six injured in a blast at Chandel town of Manipur this morning. Police said, The jawans were patrolling the Maha Mani village of Chandel Town, about 64 km from the state capital Imphal when an improvised explosive device exploded.

One jawan died on the spot, while seven others were injured in the blast. An injured jawan succumbed to injuries on way to hospital.

The injured jawans have been rushed to the hospital.
