At least 10 labourers have been killed while five others got injured during wee hours in Jammu and Kashmir, today when a temporary structure housing them caught fire in Ramban district.
According to police sources, devastating fire broke out at a time when workers were sleeping inside a temporary structure.
The temporary structure that caught fire was erected by a company for labourers engaged in construction of a tunnel in Dalwas area of this mountainous district of Jammu region.
The exact cause of fire is being ascertained, however, in preliminary investigations short circuit is said to be the reason behind this accident. The injured have been rushed to the district hospital and police has been investigating into the matter.
